Cookie Cutter as Gift Store Souvenir or Holiday Gift Idea

Here is a unique gift idea that is a true case study.  The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum was looking to add a unique gift to their souvenir collection. They selected cookie cutters in different shapes related to Country Music. So they decided to have a contest for the best holiday cookie recipe to add to the cookie cutter tag to make them extra special.

Employees at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum submitted their own cookie recipes during their holiday party and the staff voted on their favorite tasting cookies. The two winning recipes were then included on the inside of the custom recipe card tied with kitchen twine to one of our three stock cookie cutter shapes: guitar, musical note and star.

Cookie cutters reminded families of their visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum every time they make cookies. You can do the same, but thinking about a shape or design that would fit your industry, add your favorite cookie recipe to make the gift uniquely your own, by holding a contest with your employees, or your customers and either giving them as gifts, selling them for either a fundraiser or as gifts in your store. Give us a call (888) 249.0420 or email: to find out more about how you can use cookie cutters for your next promotion.

How To Make Shrimp Scampi on Cooking with Tristan

This Shrimp Scampi Recipe with Angel Hair Pasta is absolutely delicious! We had to make it twice in one week it was so yummy. If you use wheat Angel Hair Pasta instead of just regular Angel Hair Pasta, it will be healthier. When we used the regular pasta, it turned almost doughy, the wheat version was stronger and tasted much better. Also, the first time we used pre-cooked shrimp that was frozen, and just de-peeled it. It tasted just as good as the shrimp we used  the 2nd time that was white shrimp, not pre-cooked. So whatever will make it easier for you, will work. If you have a bit more money, buying shrimp that is already peeled and devained, will save you about 15 minutes.  Give this recipe a try and let us know what you think, we would love to hear from you.

How To Make Your Own Gourmet Pizza

Pizza with Veggies and MeatWho doesn’t love Pizza? It is the dinner of choice on Friday nights at our house, and I am sure on Sunday’s during football season – who knows, maybe it is the food of choice for all sporting events that are watched on TV at home. Instead of ordering pizza out next time, you should try making your own pizza.  There are so many recipes out on the internet that you can get some great ideas for sauce and really go to town.  That is what Tristan did this past weekend – He created his own delicious pizza sauce.

Who would have thought that honey would help enhance the taste of the pizza sauce? It is the secret little ingredient to a delicious tasting sauce. In the first pizza with all the veggies, a ¼ cup of honey was used and the taste was a nice sweet blend. Only one of three boys didn’t like the sweetness, but it did go very well with a glass of wine.

On the second pizza an 1/8th of a cup of honey was used in the recipe and it was not as sweet, but the taste was still very pleasant. Everyone really liked the veggie and meat pizza the best, but make the recipe yourself and you decide.

If you want to see how Tristan created this delicious gourmet pizza, and see the notes about what he learned about creating his very own pizza sauce you can see the recipe and the video right now!
